THE BEST pasta/spinach salad

You guys! I wish I was kidding, but I have literally made this salad every. single. weekend….since the 4th of July when some dear friends (Hi Guys!) brought this to our cookout! OMG…It’s THE BEST ever.  So legit. Everyone I have made it for since, also wants the recipe. You will not be disappointed! I wish I could take credit for it, but I can’t. Tiffany, over at Creme de le Crumb has the recipe! You can find it here. I pretty much followed her recipe, but I didn’t measure the craisins, Mandarin oranges, or pine nuts. The more the merrier is my philosophy!  Be prepared for everyone to ask you for the recipe!


Pasta/Spinach Salad


  • 8oz bowtie pasta
  • 4 cups spinach leaves
  • 1/2 craisins (give or take)
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 1 4 oz can mandarin oranges
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, roughly chopped


-1/3 cup teriyaki sauce

  • 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teasp garlic powder
  • 1/2 teasp onion powder
  • 1/4 teasp salt
  • 1/4 teasp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil (vegetable, canola, or olive oil)


  1. Cook pasta according to instruction then drain with cold water. set aside.
  2. prepare dressing in a jar or container. combine everything and shake it. chill till ready to use.
  3. In a bowl, toss everything together. Just before serving, pour dressing over and toss!
  4. Enjoy!
