Coloring Easter eggs is so much fun, no matter how old you are! It’s a great excuse to get the family together! Coloring eggs with G-ma, G-pa & JJ is much more exciting than mom & dad, anyways! It can really test the little ones patience, while waiting for those eggs to turn color! It was so much fun to see little T, all excited dipping the eggs and watching the colors change! We used the old fashion way to dye the eggs, no need to buy all the fancy stuff they sell at the stores! We used warm water, whatever food coloring you like, and vinegar.
Fill the mugs more than halfway full of warm water. Use as much food coloring until you get the desired color. Use 1-2 TBSP of vinegar. Give it a stir and start dropping them in! (carefully!) Let egg sit in the dye mixture for minimum of 2 minutes. Enjoy, watching the little ones “oooh & ahhh” over the magic!
Enjoying the finished product, of course we picked the pink one to eat!
